Hello, I'm Jolene

Photographer

My love of photography began at age six, when I unwrapped camera on Christmas morning. I've been chasing good light ever since.

The passion for better technique took me to Seattle, where I studied commercial photography and learned how to make a beautiful image look effortless and timeless.

I'm also a mom of three, and I live in Bellevue with my husband and our children. We're an active family, happiest on the ski slopes, at the field, or at our cabin in northern Idaho. That perspective shapes how I work. I know the most meaningful portraits aren't the stiff ones. They're the ones that look and feel like your family: the laughter, the connection, the way your kids really are right now.

My goal is to create timeless, beautifully lit images you'll be proud to display in your home and treasure for years to come. I'd love to hear about your family.

My approach

Photography has always fascinated me because it freezes a moment in time. A fleeting expression, a shared glance, a laugh caught mid-breath: these are gone in a second, and a photograph lets you return to them.

That's why I begin every session by getting to know you. I want to understand who you are, what matters to you, and how you want to be seen. Your portraits should reflect your personality and story, not a template. From there, I guide the session with a light touch, so the images come from real connection rather than forced poses.

The true measure of a portrait is how it feels years later. When you look back at these images, I want you to feel the moment again: the warmth, the energy, the people you love exactly as they were. Those are the images worth printing, framing, and passing down.
